Over the past few years, I have been drawn toward therapies that go beyond short term symptom relief and instead work with the body on a deeper level. One of the most transformative approaches I have trained in is Frequency Specific Microcurrent, or FSM. It is a gentle, non invasive therapy that uses specific frequencies and microcurrents to help calm the nervous system, reduce pain, and support healing at a cellular level.
My formal training took place over four intensive days in Sydney, where I was fortunate to learn under Dr Caroline, who is widely respected in the FSM field. Those four days were incredibly eye opening. We explored how microcurrents can be applied to specific tissues and systems in the body to promote recovery. I witnessed and experienced how it can help reduce inflammation, ease chronic pain, and even support emotional regulation by working with the nervous system.

What I love most about FSM is the way it feels for clients. It is not invasive, it is not harsh, and often people notice changes even during or soon after a session. Many describe feeling a deep sense of calm, a lightness in their body, or a reduction in pain that continues to develop over the next day or two. The goal is not to mask symptoms but to help the body repair, regulate, and function more effectively in a way that feels natural and restorative.
For people living with chronic pain, high levels of stress, trauma related tension, or injuries that feel slow to heal, FSM can be an incredible support. At The Healing Field, I often use FSM alongside other therapies such as osteopathy or clinical Pilates. By working on multiple layers of the body, including the nervous system, we can create a space for true healing, not just temporary relief.
I would love your feedback, comments or questions if you have any!
