Before The Healing Field existed, I spent five years studying full time at Victoria University, completing my Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Osteopathy. Those years were a blend of theory and practical experience, filled with long hours in anatomy labs, clinical placements, and learning to treat people from all walks of life. It was both challenging and incredibly rewarding, and it shaped not just my skills, but the way I see the human body and health as a whole.
What first drew me to osteopathy was its philosophy. The approach recognises that everything in the body is connected. Pain is rarely just about where it shows up. It is usually influenced by how your joints, muscles, nerves, circulation, and even your stress levels interact. Osteopathy looks at the whole person rather than simply treating a symptom in isolation.

During my training I had the privilege of working with people experiencing a wide range of challenges, from athletes wanting to perform at their best to those living with chronic pain or injuries that felt like they would never resolve. I learned that gentle, hands on treatment, tailored to each individual, can make a profound difference not just to physical symptoms but to the way people experience their bodies as a whole.
In my current work, I combine traditional osteopathic techniques such as joint mobilisation, soft tissue therapy, and exercise based rehabilitation with a strong focus on nervous system regulation. I have seen time and time again that healing is not just about loosening a tight muscle or freeing a stiff joint. When the nervous system feels supported and calm, the entire body is more likely to stay balanced and resilient.
Whether you are recovering from an injury, navigating ongoing pain, or simply wanting to move and feel better in your daily life, osteopathy can help you reconnect with your body and feel supported throughout the healing process.
I would love your feedback, comments and questions if you have any!
